Michael Norris

Hey Michael Norris is a 21 year old country singer and song writer who was raised on a ranch with his family of 7, in Central Texas. He has grown up being involved in working cattle, fishing on the creek, planting, and baling hay bales. He has been singing since he was 5 years old. He is currently a worship leader at his church as well as worship and youth leader with the Junior and High school students.

When he was 5 years old, he and his family would sing special music in church.  His dad bought him his first guitar at age 6, and it was at that point that he fell in love with music. His parents put him into weekly piano lessons so he could learn music theory, After playing piano at a competitive level for three years, he brought home two State first place trophies. After studies in music theory, he switched back to what he loved so much, Playing the guitar. 

 When he was 9, he got involved in 4-H. He was his club's president for all four years of high school, and was also on the county’s 4-H council. During this time, he competed in the Animal Shows and in various singing competitions. In his junior year, he made it to the 2017 State 4-H Roundup in two different singing competitions. Bringing home First place in both, and performing for the crowd of 6,000 people and winning the 2017 Performer of the year award by crowd vote. Michael was the first in 4-H history to win all three awards in a single year. 

In 2018, Michael’s senior year in high school, he won first in county, first at district, and made it to the 2018 Texas State Roundup again in the “Share the Fun” competition, in the Vocal category. He won first place and was honored to perform for the crowd of about 6,000 people that evening. 

 Since then, he has competed in various singing competitions, bringing home 1st place at the "Guadalupe County Has Talent", 2nd in the 2019 Houston Rodeo Rockstar, and was chosen to be in the top 50 out of over 100,000 contestants and aired on the hit TV show, "American Idol".  In late 2019, he recorded his first single called “Nothing Compares to My Texas" at Rosewood Studios. In Early 2020, he competed and won first in the 2020 "Kyle Has Talent" singing competition. He is currently working on getting his newest single "Love Of My Life", Recorded at Rosewood Studios as well. He is also getting ready to release his first single " Nothing Compares To My Texas". 

Michael’s unique song writing ability enables him to express thoughts and ideas in a way that draws the listener’s attention and holds him/her there. His dynamic talent in performing, singing and playing guitar makes the listener glad to have been a part of the overall experience.
